- Diseases and disabilities experienced by the dog during its lifetime.
- Litter and sire records.
- Location of DNA Holdings.

Procedures and Data Submissions
All dogs entered into the LHF Leonberger Health Exchange receive a unique identifying number that is
used to track all information related to each dog.
- Data Submission
- Breeders can submit data for their own dogs and those they have bred.
- Owners can submit data only for the dogs they own.
- Anonymous submissions of data are not accepted.
- In cases of dispute, information provided by an owner of record will stand. The Leonberger Health
Foundation and/or Operators will not be responsible for resolving disputes among co-owners or owners
and breeders. We assume that any discussion regarding submission of data has been held before
the data is submitted.
Health Information
- All Health/Disease information is classified as “Anecdotal” until the owner, co-owner or breeder provides
an un-altered copy of the official diagnosis or pathology report by a veterinarian or other professional.
Privacy
- The Leonberger Health Foundation values your privacy and it is our policy not to provide lists of names and/or
addresses to any outside group or organization..
- To protect the integrity of the Leonberger Health Database, the software does record logins and submissions of
data by the user. User activity within the Exchange is not tracked (searches made, dogs viewed, etc.).
- The use of a search engine for personal information will not elicit any results originating from the Leonberger
Health Exchange.
Photos
- Submission of photos of individual dogs is encouraged. Up to 4 photos per dog.
- At least one of the photos should be a side view of the dog standing as if for a conformation show photo.
- Other suggested shots would be: rear shot of dog standing, front shot of dog standing, front head shot, profile
head shot, or side shot of dog in movement.
Helpful Hint: To show the dog's visible phenotypic features to best advantage, the dog should be well lit and the
camera should be level with the dog.
- In the case of copyrighted photos it is the responsibility of the owner or co-owner to ensure professional
permission has been issued prior to photo submission and that appropriate professional credit has been applied.
- The LHF will not be responsible for providing professional photo credit or royalty fees.
Disclaimer
- Although we do our best to ensure accuracy of data, it is always possible that human errors can occur.
If you identify something in error, please notify us via email at
comments@leohealthdb.org and we will do our best to research the
data in question and make any corrections to data we find is in error.
- One of our goals is to have pedigrees as complete and accurate as possible. Our preference is that owners send us
copies of certified pedigrees. For those cases where we do not have a certified pedigree, we do our best to fill
in missing data with information that may be available from unofficial sources. This can include OFA or other
databases. In some cases this data could be in error and The Leonberger Health Foundation makes no claim that our
pedigree data is always 100% accurate.. As mentioned above, if you identify something you believe might be in error,
please contact us at comments@leohealthdb.org and we will research
the issue.
